Behind the Brands

Behind the Brands was a thought leadership event I conceived and produced at San Diego Magazine in partnership with Sony to diversify revenue and deepen engagement with the local business community. Positioned as a platform for innovation and storytelling, the event attracted first-time sponsors and partners—including Illumina, ESET, and Taylor Guitars—while showcasing leaders from industries spanning biotech to beauty. With 500 attendees, the program not only expanded the magazine’s reach but also generated significant new revenue through strategic sponsorships and curated programming.
